My 2006 Tundra 4.7 has always exhibited a very pronounced irregular idle vibration like a misfire or imbalanced cylinder combustion that is strongest at 1,500 rpm and exists from idle to around 1,800 rpm. Aug 20, 2012 · I did have to switch intake manifolds due to my 2003 having the Throttle by wire and the replacement engine from the 2000 not having it. I also swapped the sensors and engine wire harness from my 2003 motor to the 2000 motor as well. Mar 28, 2017 · No luck. There are a lot of posts to search through. My 2006 4.7 D.C. 4x4 with 145k miles has developed a loud "ticking" sound any time it's running. Hot or cold doesn't change it. Unless they changed the oil pain capacity I don't think you could get 1/2 qt difference with a different oil filter, even the large filters some people use.On the other hand, the 5.7 is a bigger truck, is faster but is huge and is very hard for me to see out of. I am a short women and many of my guys like the 5.7 but they like the 4.7 just as much. My dealer just called me about a 2004 4.7 that has come in, same as mine but with a supercharger.

I had them log a case # to my question and their answer to it.
