I currently own the G3C and for a first time gun owner I would definitely recommend the G3C. Mainly due to the manual safety. It is a more chunkier than Gx4 but it still fits in my pocket with a pocket holster just fine with the 12 rd mag. Gx4 is more concealable but a lot more snappier compared to the G3C in my opinion making it less fun to shoot at the range as a first time gun owner.
