At this moment I can't comment on whether I prefer a stock or a chassis but I do prefer the look of the chassis. I cant answer for MDT on this but I will tell you that you will want the adjustable latch if you will be switching back and forth between the AW and AICS magazines because the height will be different! You could probably get two latches from them and cut one down for AW mags and then save the other for AICS. Jun 29, 2023. #5. I have both the XLR Element and MDT XRS. The XRS is kind of a hybrid between a stock and chassis so I like it a lot and it's relatively cheap. With the cheek rest down, a bore guide and cleaning rod clears easily.
