Ignition key wont turn
My 1999 Boxster has a problem in cold weather only. The ignition key will not turn at all if the car is cold and the ambient temperature is approaching freezing. Warm weather - no apparent problem. I have tried WD40 in the key slot and cylinder well - no change. Mostly I have been able to overcome this by wiggling the key about but this morning at -30 C it refused to rotate no matter how much I wiggled both keys.Lock the car with central locking, unlock the drivers door with the key, disconnect the battery, lock the drivers door with the key.
