The “strike of the mind” led by John Galt demonstrates this central theme of the novel. When the best creative minds are systematically removed from the world, their importance is laid bare. Without the great thinkers, society spirals quickly downward. The economy collapses, and irrational looters seize power. Really well done version of part 1 of the book. Assuming you're looking to watch a movie version of this particular story, you won't be disappointed - this is the part the producers/writers took seriously. Acting is good (not surprised the careers of the main two actors have taken off), altho they all seem slightly young for the characters.
