He currently owns two, one with a born date in mid March and one with a born date in mid May. He has thoroughly examined both guns and has observed some interesting changes in the May gun. My P365 is 1/24 build, shot 495 rounds at first range visit with mixed ammo in 147, 124, and 115g in FMJ and JHP. Out 495 rounds, I had 5 failure to battery. I sent it back to SIG for upgrade, it was returned in two weeks. The next 475 rounds using similar ammo assortment was perfect. On others, only when it's charged. 2) Sig made some changes to the FCU couple of years back and new models apparently only allow the MS lever to be engaged only when gun is charged.

The standard P365 will offer the best concealability and you can still use 12-round mags. However the longer frame on the P365 will make for a better shooter. Even with the 12-round extended mag in a std P365 I find I can handle and shoot the P365X better. It might be due to the slight flare at the base of the grip.I've been feeding mine the SIG P365 brand ammo, which clocks about the same (1100'sec) as Blazer Brass, and my standard reloads. Avoid +p, or NATO standard 9s. Personally don't find my P365 tough to shoot, if I stay with the above ammo. ...
