A journey into the the infamous Om642 oil cooler leak!Hello Everyone, I have a 1970 W114 250C and I’ve been working on it off and on for the better part of 3 yrs now fixing some things. The rocker panels are rusted out (completely) and that’s the extent of the rust on the car that is glaring. I’m not foolish enough to think that there isn’t more but that’s what I’ve seen so far.People on this forum in the past have said there is something on the generic power steering pump pullers in the first attached picture that can be ground to fit the Mercedes ones. The generic one works well on US PS pumps. Autozone has a free rental on them. Barring some catastrophic failure due to rust, the most common cause of the front wheel tilting inward at the top is failure of the upper control arm's inner bushing, where it's bolted to the inner fender. I've replaced three of the upper arms on two different W123s - not worth it to R&R the arm just to replace the inner bushing..
